110/150 psi, 40 psi differential

All pressure switches
Square D / Pumptrol · Class 9013 Type FHG

9013FHG42J55

The 150 psi build of the FHG family, used on two-stage residential and light-commercial recips with a 175 psi MAWP tank. The wider 40 psi differential cuts starts per hour roughly in half compared to the 95/125 switch on the same tank.

Specifications

Electrical

  • 2 NC snap-action, DPST-DB, power circuit rated
  • UL Listed / CSA Certified

Size against motor full-load amps with the motor amperage calculator, and check feeder sizing with the voltage drop calculator.

Adjustment

  1. Range nut only. Confirm the tank MAWP is at least 175 psi before setting cut-out to 150.
  2. Check the ASME relief valve rating: it must pop at or below MAWP and above your cut-out with margin.
Before you open the cover

Kill power at the disconnect and lock out. Bleed the tank to 0 psi. Never set cut-out above the tank data-plate MAWP. Verify your numbers first in the cut-in / cut-out calculator.

Best fit

  • Two-stage 5–7.5 HP single-phase recips
  • Shops running 150 psi header pressure

Watch out

  • Higher cut-out means higher discharge temperature — check the head and valve plate if the unit runs hot.
  • A tired check valve at 150 psi back-bleeds harder and shows up as rapid restart after shutdown.
