Square D / Pumptrol · Class 9013 Type FHG
9013FHG2J27
Same FHG mechanism as the 12J52 but factory set low for pancake compressors, air-over-hydraulic packages and older 100 psi tanks. The narrow 20 psi differential is the reason these short-cycle if the tank is undersized.
Specifications
- Action
- Standard — contacts open on rising pressure
- Adjustable range
- Roughly 40–110 psi on rising pressure
- Differential
- Approximately 20 psi fixed (fixed)
- Factory settings
- Cut-in 80 psi / cut-out 100 psi
- Ports
- 1/4 in. NPSF female; four-port manifold option
- Unloader
- M1 unloader option available
- Lever / disconnect
- Auto/off lever option available
- Enclosure
- NEMA 1
- Temperature
- -22 °F to 257 °F ambient
Electrical
- 2 NC snap-action, DPST-DB power circuit
- Same 10 AWG screw-clamp terminals and two 1/2 in. conduit entries as the rest of the FHG line
Size against motor full-load amps with the motor amperage calculator, and check feeder sizing with the voltage drop calculator.
Adjustment
- Range nut only — the 20 psi differential is fixed.
- If the pump cycles more than 10–15 times an hour on this switch, add receiver volume rather than chasing the setting.
Before you open the cover
Kill power at the disconnect and lock out. Bleed the tank to 0 psi. Never set cut-out above the tank data-plate MAWP. Verify your numbers first in the cut-in / cut-out calculator.
Best fit
- Small portable and pancake units
- Low-pressure process air
- Air-over-hydraulic and lube equipment
Watch out
- Do not use this range on a 125 psi tool circuit — the pump never reaches useful storage pressure.
- 20 psi is a narrow differential; verify starts per hour with the calculator before you sign the job off.
