BF2510A (3-pole 25 A)
Lovato Electric · BF09–BF38 frame (45 mm)
Lovato's BF series IEC contactor at 25 A AC-3 — common on Italian-built compressors (Mattei, ABAC, Fini, Ceccato) and packaged pump skids.

Coil data
- Available coil voltages
- 24, 110, 120, 230, 240, 400, 415 VAC 50/60 Hz; 24 VDC; AC/DC low-consumption versions
- Inrush VA
- ≈ 110 VA
- Sealed (holding) VA

Typical measured coil resistance (±15%, ballpark)
24 VAC≈ 5–11 Ω
120 VAC≈ 120–250 Ω
230/240 VAC≈ 500–950 Ω
400/415 VAC≈ 1,600–3,000 Ω
OL = open coil · near zero = shorted turns · coil-to-frame must read >1 MΩ.
Coil resistance checker
Pick the coil voltage, enter your meter reading across A1–A2 (coil disconnected), and compare it to the expected ballpark.
Ω
This model (24 VAC table value)5 Ω–11 Ω
Generic mid-frame 24 VAC4 Ω–9 Ω
OL = open coil. 0–2 Ω = shorted turns (often from a cooked transformer). Ballpark only (±15%+); electronic wide-range coils (e.g. ABB AF) read misleading values — test those at rated voltage instead. Always measure coil-to-frame too: must be >1 MΩ.
Terminals & accessories
Power/coil terminals: Screw clamp to 16 mm²; coil A1/A2
Auxiliary contacts: 1 built-in (last two digits of the part number: 10 = 1NO, 01 = 1NC); BFA front and BFL side blocks
Companion overload: RF/RFN thermal overload direct-mount, or DMA electronic

Field notes
- European machines usually ship 400 V coils — check before assuming 120 V; swapping the coil is cheaper than the whole contactor.
- 50 Hz-rated coils run hotter on 60 Hz but generally hold; 60 Hz-rated coils on 50 Hz will chatter.
- Lovato part numbers encode the aux configuration in the suffix, so BF2510A and BF2501A differ only by NO vs NC aux.
