Dedicated managed Ethernet switch for Sigma Network — do NOT share with plant LAN
Static IPs per compressor set in each controller
Isolate BMS Modbus/Profinet with a firewall or gateway

Known issues & field notes

Firmware upgrades require matched Sigma Control 2 firmware on downstream units
Confusing when third-party compressors are added via dry-contact only — you lose predictive features on those units

User levels: Operator, Technician, Service. Default technician PIN is often 12345 on new commissioning but IS typically changed. Service level is Kaeser-only.
