ELGi Neuron XT
Screen layout, mode flags and message structure follow the publicly published Neuron XT documentation. Exact message text varies by software version and package build.
- ELGi EN series (current builds)
- ELGi AB / EG series
- ELGi VFD packages
- Main screen shows discharge pressure, discharge temperature and machine state (Run, Load, Unload, Standby)
- Mode flags on screen: PS pressure schedule / UL unload mode, L-R-D local-remote-DCS, A/M auto-restart or manual
- Separate warning and fault message sets with history
- Service-hour tracking with pre-warnings
- VFD integration on variable-speed packages
- Sequencing of multiple compressors over Modbus
- RS-485 Modbus RTU
- Digital I/O
- Remote / DCS control
- Sequencing
- Package discharge pressure
- Airend discharge temperature
- Optional dryer, drain and VFD status inputs
- Clean the cooler
- Check fluid level and grade
- Verify ambient and ventilation
- Check the thermal valve
- Let it cool, then check fluid level cold and hot
- Verify the RTD reading against an IR gun
- Inspect for a plugged oil filter or cooler
- Read and reset the overload
- Compare amps against nameplate FLA
- Check for a restricted separator or seized fan
- Verify all three phases
- Check rotation arrow
- Test the phase monitor
- Inspect the connector for moisture
- Measure the 4–20 mA loop
- Substitute a known-good sensor
- Complete the due service
- Reset only that counter
- Verify the interval against the fluid in use
Fault list is non-exhaustive and firmware-dependent. Always confirm against the controller’s on-screen help or OEM manual.
Pin-level resistance and signal values for the sensor types this controller uses. Works offline. De-energise the panel and lift one lead before ohming any element.
- Control voltage from the package transformer — confirm the tag before probing
- Modbus RS-485 daisy-chain with 120 Ω termination at both physical ends
- Remote and DCS control use volt-free inputs; mode is selected on the main screen (L / R / D)
- Bond sensor cable shields at the panel only
- Warning and fault sets differ by software version (public documentation covers V2.x) — read the version on the panel before matching a manual
Service and calibration pages are password-protected; the password is in the machine manual or issued by the ELGi distributor. AirCompDX does not publish OEM service passwords.
