BOGE focus control (1.0, original)
The original focus control shares sensor part numbers with focus control 2.0 but the CPU boards are NOT interchangeable. Upgrading a pre-2018 S-Series to 2.0 is a full panel swap, not a board swap.

Sensor pin resistance & signal values
Pin-level resistance and signal values for the sensor types this controller uses. Works offline. De-energise the panel and lift one lead before ohming any element.
Wiring notes
- 24 VDC control supply — a shared 24 V bus with the dryer is a common source of nuisance resets
- Blowdown solenoid needs a suppression diode across the coil to protect the output transistor
- RS-485 base-load link uses shielded twisted pair with 120 Ω terminators at each physical end
Known issues & field notes
- LCD contrast fades and pixel rows drop after ~8–10 years of hot-room service — display is a separate service part from the CPU
- Backup coin cell drains during long shutdowns; clock and hour meter reset on power-up
- Membrane keypad flexes at the 'Enter' key — hairline crack lets oil mist in
Two levels: operator (setpoints) and service. BOGE dealers set these at commissioning; there is no published universal code — if the service level is locked, BOGE service must reset it.
