Elektronikon Nano
The Nano replaced the Elektronikon Basic on small frames. If a customer complains the screen is blank but the unit runs, check the display ribbon before condemning the controller — the display and controller are separate boards.

Used on
- Atlas Copco G2–G7
- Atlas Copco G7L–G15
- GA 5–15 / GA VSDs small frames
Features
- Graphic pressure and temperature trend screen
- Duty/standby dual machine control built in
- Week timer with pressure bands
- SMARTLINK remote monitoring standard on most builds
Interfaces
- CAN bus to expansion I/O
- SMARTLINK over the air (SIM / Ethernet depending on build)
- Icon-based service menus with hour counters
Sensor inputs
- Element outlet temperature (PT1000)
- Package discharge pressure (4–20 mA)
- Dryer PDP input (option)
Fault code lookup
Element Outlet Temperature ShutdownElement discharge over shutdown (typ. 120 °C / 248 °F on oil-injected).
First checks
- Oil level and oil cooler cleanliness
- Thermostatic bypass valve
- Fan operation and cabinet filters
- PT1000 loop resistance sanity check
First checks
- Reset overloads in starter box
- Phase balance and supply voltage
- Check for hard-turning element
First checks
- Connector seated and dry
- Loop mA with meter in series
- Replace sensor if signal drifts
First checks
- Reset fan overload
- Blade free and shroud clear
- Ambient temperature
First checks
- Do the indicated kit service
- Reset only the counter for the work performed
First checks
- Release E-stop
- Check safety loop continuity
Fault list is non-exhaustive and firmware-dependent. Always confirm against the controller’s on-screen help or OEM manual.
Sensor pin resistance & signal values
Pin-level resistance and signal values for the sensor types this controller uses. Works offline. De-energise the panel and lift one lead before ohming any element.
Wiring notes
- CAN expansion modules auto-address at power-up — add/remove modules only with control power off
- Pressure transducer wiring is shielded; land the shield at the controller end only
- The Nano joystick doubles as the service-menu navigation — hold to confirm parameter changes
Known issues & field notes
- Early firmware would lose the week-timer after extended power loss — update firmware if a unit keeps forgetting schedules
- Joystick wear on high-use panels causes phantom menu entries — replace the encoder module
Service parameters sit behind a user-set PIN; factory menu is dealer level.
