AERtronic / Delta Control

Aerzen builds straddle the line between compressor and process blower — the controller's permissive/start-sequence pages are the fastest diagnostic tool on these packages; learn to read them before touching hardware.

Manufacturer
Aerzen

Graphic LCD (Delta Control) or color TFT (AERtronic) with soft keys.
Years produced
Delta Control ~2000s on Delta Screw / Delta Hybrid; AERtronic ~2015 – present.
Power supply
24 VDC control rail.

0 – 45 °C.
Protection rating
IP54 front.
Relay outputs
Start/stop command, bypass/unload valve, oil pump, alarm, readiness.
Used on
  • Aerzen Delta Screw packages
  • Delta Hybrid rotary lobe/screw hybrids
  • Some Delta Blower G5 packages
Features
  • Process-gas capable parameter sets (special gas versions)
  • Oil system supervision: pressure, temperature, and filter monitoring
  • Purge and start-sequence logic for process duty
  • Load profile recording for warranty documentation
Interfaces
  • Profibus / Modbus option cards
  • Analog remote setpoint 4–20 mA
  • Dry contacts for remote enable
Sensor inputs
  • Discharge temperature (PT100)
  • Suction and discharge pressure
  • Oil pressure and oil temperature
  • Vibration input (option on process builds)
Fault code lookup
First checks
  • Oil level
  • Oil pump function
  • Oil filter differential
  • Pressure transducer zero
First checks
  • Injection / cooling oil flow
  • Cooler approach
  • Process load vs design
First checks
  • Read the sequence page to see which permissive hung
  • Bypass valve actuator
  • Pre-lube pump if fitted
First checks
  • Verify with contact thermometer before shutdown decisions
  • Oil supply to bearings
  • Sensor loop

Fault list is non-exhaustive and firmware-dependent. Always confirm against the controller’s on-screen help or OEM manual.

Sensor pin resistance & signal values

Pin-level resistance and signal values for the sensor types this controller uses. Works offline. De-energise the panel and lift one lead before ohming any element.

Wiring notes
  • Oil-pressure transducers must be mounted with a snubber — direct-mounted sensors fail early on pulsation
  • Remote setpoint input is isolated 4–20 mA; check isolation before tying into plant loops
  • Purge solenoid outputs are duty-cycled on some builds — measure with the sequence active, not static
Known issues & field notes
  • Delta Control LCD backlights fail with age — the controller still runs and communicates; screen is replaceable
  • Firmware is gas-specific on process builds — never flash a standard-air image onto a special-gas unit

Three-level access; service codes via Aerzen service organization.
