Capacitive sensor detects condensate level and opens a pilot-operated valve only long enough to expel liquid — no compressed air lost.

How it works
A capacitive probe in the collection chamber signals the PCB when the chamber is full. The board energises a pilot solenoid that opens the diaphragm valve until the level probe clears, then closes before air escapes. An alarm contact is normally provided.

Field test procedure
- Press TEST: valve should open and close cleanly.
- Sludge on the probe reads as permanently full (constant cycling) or permanently empty (no discharge). Clean the chamber first.
- Check the alarm relay contact continuity if the machine reports a drain fault.
Symptoms & probable causes
- Alarm LED and no dischargePlugged inlet, frozen line, or a coated probe.
