2/2-way solenoid opened for a set duration at a set interval to dump condensate from the receiver, dryer or separator.

Normally closed — fails closed on power loss, so condensate backs up rather than blowing air.
How it works
A repeat-cycle timer energises a normally-closed 2/2 solenoid. Open time and interval are adjustable. Simple and cheap, but it dumps compressed air with the water — the reason zero-loss drains exist.

Field test procedure
- Ohm the coil against its tag voltage using the table above.
- Force a manual test cycle: no click and no discharge with correct voltage present = failed coil or seized armature.
- Discharges air but no water = the drain leg is plugged upstream, or the interval is far too short.
