Sullair inlet butterfly valve

Air-cylinder-driven butterfly inlet valve used across LS-series machines, supporting modulation and on/off control.

How it works

A single-acting cylinder rotates the disc against a return spring. The control solenoid (and on modulating machines the modulation valve) sets cylinder pressure, so disc angle tracks demand.

Field test procedure

1. Hand-check disc travel with the machine locked out.
2. Confirm cylinder holds pressure — a leaking cylinder gives lazy loading.

Symptoms & probable causes

• Machine can't hold line pressure at full load
  Disc not reaching full open — linkage or cylinder.
