Kaeser inlet valve with integral check

Suction-side control valve on ASD/BSD/CSD packages that throttles and non-returns in one body.

How it works

Sigma Control energises Y1; control air holds the valve open against its spring. At unload the spring and pressure differential close it, and the venting valve dumps sump pressure to residual so the airend restarts unloaded.

Field test procedure

1. Sigma Control I/O test to force Y1, then confirm the valve strokes.
2. Check for oil in the intake tract at shutdown.

Symptoms & probable causes

• Oil pushed out of the intake filter on stop
  Non-return seat worn or held open by debris.
