KP 35/36 and RT series pressure controls
Danfoss KP and RT pressure controls are pilot devices with independent range and differential scales and a convertible manual/auto reset. They appear on plant air headers, dryer circuits and refrigerated dryer high/low protection.

Electrical

Size against motor full-load amps with the motor amperage calculator, and check feeder sizing with the voltage drop calculator.
Adjustment
- Set range first with a calibrated gauge on the sensing line, then the differential, then recheck range.
- Use manual reset for any safety function such as high discharge pressure.
Before you open the cover
Kill power at the disconnect and lock out. Bleed the tank to 0 psi. Never set cut-out above the tank data-plate MAWP. Verify your numbers first in the cut-in / cut-out calculator.

- Refrigerated dryer high/low protection
- Plant header control piloting a starter
Watch out
- These are pilot devices — never run motor current through them.
- Manual-reset builds will not restart the plant after a trip until someone presses the button. That is the point; do not convert it to auto to silence a nuisance trip.
