Adjustment
- Range and differential screws are separate and interact slightly — set, test, re-verify.
- For a PLC input, specify the gold contact option; standard silver contacts foul at milliamp currents.
Before you open the cover
Kill power at the disconnect and lock out. Bleed the tank to 0 psi. Never set cut-out above the tank data-plate MAWP. Verify your numbers first in the cut-in / cut-out calculator.

Watch out
- Order the enclosure rating for the environment, not the cheapest body — water ingress is the top failure mode.
- Verify the pressure element material against the media; air and water are not the same spec as oil.
