Kobelion controller (Kobe Steel)

Kobelco documentation is excellent but model-code driven — always pull the full serial-plate model string before ordering controller spares; pictograph revisions differ by market.

Fault code lookup
First checks
  • Oil level and grade
  • Oil cooler approach temperature
  • Thermostatic element function
First checks
  • Transducer zero at atmosphere
  • Blow-off valve operation
  • Inlet valve seating
First checks
  • Current balance across phases
  • Bearing drag at airend
  • Reset after cool-down
First checks
  • Replace filter and check oil analysis history
  • Confirm switch wiring not chafed
First checks
  • Replace separator element
  • Check scavenge return line
  • Verify no oil foaming
First checks
  • Local and remote E-stop chain
  • Door switches if fitted

Fault list is non-exhaustive and firmware-dependent. Always confirm against the controller’s on-screen help or OEM manual.

Sensor pin resistance & signal values

Pin-level resistance and signal values for the sensor types this controller uses. Works offline. De-energise the panel and lift one lead before ohming any element.

Wiring notes
  • Thermistor inputs are NOT interchangeable with PT100 — use the Kobelco-specified thermistor when replacing sensors
  • Modbus option card must be terminated and addressed per the gateway manual
  • Keep control wiring in the separate low-voltage duct — Kobelco cabinets are compact and noise coupling is common
Known issues & field notes
  • English/Japanese language flag can revert after EEPROM faults — re-set in the maintenance menu
  • Early Emeraude oil-free firmware had false separator-clog alarms in cold rooms; firmware update available through dealers
