Universal body — the piping determines NO or NC operation. Mark the ports before removing the old valve.
How it works
Direct-acting 3-way universal valve. Pressure can be applied to any port, so it can be piped normally closed, normally open, or as a diverter. Common replacement when an OEM pilot valve is obsolete.

Typical values for the stated wattage class. Always compare against the coil tag. Open circuit = burnt winding; near 0 Ω = shorted turns.

Field test procedure
- Ohm the coil per the voltage table — an AC coil measured with the plunger removed reads normally but will buzz and overheat in service.
- AC coils burn if the plunger cannot seat: always fit the correct core/spring kit, not just a coil.
Symptoms & probable causes
- Loud AC humShading coil damaged or plunger not seating — replace the core assembly.
