Dual-location start/stop (two control stations)

Two operator stations that can each start and stop the machine: stops always in series, starts always in parallel.

Series the stops

From
X1 → Stop A → Stop B
To
Wire #2 bus

Conductor: 16 AWG

Every stop button in the system lands in series. Adding a third station means opening this string again — never parallel a stop.

Verify before moving on
  • Press either stop and the wire #2 bus must go dead

Aux contacts & feedback

  • If the remote station is more than a few hundred feet out, watch coil inrush voltage drop — go up a wire size or use an interposing relay at the starter.
  • Add a lit stop button by feeding its lamp from a spare NO aux, not from wire #2 — a lamp across wire #2 can backfeed a small coil.

Before you land a wire

  • Both stations must be able to stop the machine. A station that can only start is a lockout hazard.
  • Label each station's E-stop separately; E-stops go in the same series string but must be maintained-contact twist-release.
